Professor Wang Tieqiang and Researcher Tian Ye of NEU Published Latest Research Findings in the Internationally Renowned Materials Science Journal Advanced Functional Materials

Date: 2026-10-20

Recently, a research team consisting of Professor Wang Tieqiang of the Department of Chemistry, College of Sciences at NEU, Researcher Tian Ye of the College of Medicine and Biological Information Engineering at NEU, and Professor Lu Baoyang of Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University made important research progress in the field of smart hydrogels and soft robots. The related findings, titled "High Sensitivity Self Sensing Hydrogels With Reconfigurable Island–Bridge Networks for Human–Machine Interaction and Intelligent Bioinspired Recognition," were published in Advanced Functional Materials, a renowned journal in materials science. Doctoral student Zhang Zhilin of NEU is the first author, and NEU is the first author affiliation of the paper. The instrument-sharing platforms of the NEU Analytical Instrumentation Center and the Chemistry Experimental Center of the College of Sciences provided important assistance in collecting experimental data for this work.
